Catherine Seidel

TCRG (Registered teacher with the Irish and Australian Irish Dancing Commission)

"Every student at Seidel Irish Dance is nurtured and encouraged by everyone, not just the teachers and it's this enthusiasm and togetherness that makes this school special. I am very passionate about Irish dancing and to be able to share this with my students means the absolute world to me as I know they share the same passion."

Cathy started competing back in the 1970's and has seen many changes in Irish Dancing during her time as a competitor and as a teacher. She competed locally and at National Championships under the tutelage of Carmel Doyle SDCRG.

She successfully undertook her TCRG exam in 1988 and started teaching at the Doyle School, where she taught State & National Champions in both solo and team dancing.

In 2019 Cathy chose to open her own school - Seidel Irish Dance. She is looking forward to the challenge of building a school that is known for being an includsive and supportive environment for all its students.
